John Jellinek

John I. Jellinek serves as the President of Jelco Ventures, Inc., a private equity investment firm he founded in 1971.  During the last thirty years, John has had a hand in over fifty private equity transactions.  Of all these transaction, some of the more notable ones include Bell Sports Corporation, IMNET Systems, Inc., Apogent Technologies, Tapscotts, Inc., Labor Source LLC, Pelstar LLC and CourtLink.  Aside from running Jelco Ventures, Inc., John Jellinek was a shareholder and operating director of the boutique, mid-market investment bank BPC Group.  He was also a  director and founder  of the following companies, K2 Industrial, Inc., Pelstar LLC, and Capital Resources Advisors. From April 2005 to June 2011 John Jellinek served as the Chairman of Zenith Administrators Inc., a third party employee benefit plan administrator serving multi-employer, single employer and public employer benefit plans.  In addition, John was the treasurer of the Aspen Valley Hospital Board of Trustees.

John Jellinek

John Jellinek used to be a competitive race car driver, having competed in Watkins Glen, Silverstone, Sebring, Road America and Le Mans. During his career John has had co-drivers, of which include – Yves Courage, Michel Dubois, Eddie Arundel, Alain De Cadenet, James Weaver, Tom Brennan, and Stefan Edlis. Some of the cars that he has raced are the Cougar, which he raced three times, and both the Porsche and Arundel only once.  John has raced in the Can Am series as well as IMSA and the world endurance championship.
