Le Mans is a race car track located in Le Mans, France. The site is home to the event 24 Hours of Le Mans, which is widely considered in racing to be the most prestigious automobile race in the world. What makes the event so difficult is the fact that teams need to find an equilibrium between speed and the cars’ capacity to run. With the event over the course of 24 hours, it is important to considered the factors of fuel, tires, and braking materials. The automobile must be able to sustain for such a long duration, making the race an all around team effort. At 24 hours, one driver can’t possible complete the race on their own, so they need to enlist the help of relief drivers. During this time, primary drivers grab food and rest before they are back on the circuit. Current rules have only three drivers competing per vehicle.
