Located in Watkins Glen, New York, Watkins Glen International is owned by the International Speedway Corporation. For twenty years, the track was home to the United States Grand Prix  between 1961-1980. Beginning in 1948, Watkins Glen International has had racing from almost every class including Formula One, Can-Am, Nascar Sprint Cup Series, Trans-Am, IndyCar Series and the World Sportscar Championship.

In the early years, actual village public roads were used as the race track before a permanent private circuit was built in 1968. At this time the race was increased to six hours total, then dubbed the “Six Hours of Watkins Glen.”

The circuit is widely considered the pinnacle track in North America. It is increasingly popular among fans and drivers.
